Candidates should be articulate, able to multi task, hand multiple deadlines at one time, and have the ability to think critically. They are also required to carry themselves in a confident, professional manner at all times.

We are also looking for individuals to represent clients in front of the IRS and the State of Michigan. To be considered for a Taxpayer Advocate, a candidate must currently hold an E.A. (Enrolled Agent) license, have excellent business communication skills, and posses assertiveness and confidence in dealing with governmental tax authorities.

Reports to Senior Case Manager & Human Resource Manager

This position will mostly entail, but is not limited to: answering phones while interpreting how to resolve complex client’s inquiry, preparing new & closed client files, scheduling phone & in person meetings, and organizing & filing paperwork. Other responsibilities will include greeting clientele in a friendly & inviting manner, receiving & sending correspondences, maintaining general office organization, maintaining IT repair & maintenance logs, and assisting staff members with other general duties.

REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must be able to sit for long periods of time (6-8 hours) on a daily basis and lift 5-15 pounds on occasion. They must also be exceptionally detail oriented, self-motivated, assertive, and organized. Applicant must have excellent business communication skills and confidence dealing with clientele. Applicant is required to be articulate and able to multi task, meeting multiple deadlines at one time. They are also required to carry themselves in a confident, professional manner at all times.

This position requires the Associate Advocate to assist our licensed Taxpayer Advocates to represent multiple clients before the IRS, State, and Local Taxing Authorities to resolve the client’s tax issues.

This position requires the Taxpayer Advocate to hold a case load and represent multiple clients at once to resolve their tax issues using independent, critical thinking and current tax law.

REQUIREMENTS
Enrolled Agent (E.A.) licensing is required. Applicants that do not have the required Enrolled Agent License will not be considered.
